Conestoga Wood Receives KCMA’s Environmental Stewardship Certification
The KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturing Association) Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) certifies that cabinet doors/cabinets meet today’s industry standards for sustainability, responsibility, and green, healthy homes. The environmental certification through KCMA takes a holistic approach, holding the industry to high standards for their products, forest sustainability, and manufacturing processes.
This certification reviews the manufacturing process from the growth and harvesting of raw materials to manufacturing the end product. The KCMA ESP certification is awarded annually and based on the following five categories: air quality & pollution prevention, resource sustainability, waste minimization, environmental stewardship, and community relations.
Conestoga Wood was the first recipient of the KCMA Environmental Stewardship Program and has achieved the certification every year since its inception.
